Zuigerverenfabriek Rottink B.V. is convinced that Corporate Social Responsibility (hereafter CSR) is a prerequisite to ensure a long-term healthy organization and long-term viability.
Due to growing awareness for social and environmental concerns in combination with societies’ changing expectations, CSR has become a necessity that encouraged us to see our organization trough a wider lens.
We aim to harmonize human development, environmental responsibilities and economic productivity, and continuous improve ourselves on the three pillars People, Planet and Profit.
Zuigerverenfabriek Rottink B.V. aims toward long-term relationships with her stakeholders, and thus the requirements, expectations and needs of our stakeholders matter: companies and stakeholders are interrelated and interests are deeply connected. Therefore we aimed to increase our (social) responsibility by means of developing a CSR policy inspired by our stakeholders (i.e. engage our stakeholders). Stakeholder engagement allows us to integrate and understand our stakeholders to guide better decision-making and accountability, with the intention to inspire the integration of social, environmental and economic issues into strategies and business models with the aim to create value for everyone involved. Zuigerverenfabriek Rottink B.V. developed her CSR-policy based on the three pillars People, Planet and Profit, and requirements, expectations and needs of our stakeholders (e.g. employees, customers, suppliers, government).
We are convinced that employees are companies’ most important assets. To ensure the quality of this pillar, Zuigerverenfabriek Rottink B.V. is certified with OHSAS 18001.
Health and safety are constantly monitored, for example by pre-emptive medical research, high safety standards (e.g. employees perceive a high degree of safety) and continuous improvement of the working conditions with a state-of-the-art climate control system.
Employee development and training are highly encouraged at Zuigerverenfabriek Rottink B.V., as well as equal opportunities: female employees are present both in management functions as well in production functions on the work floor.
Zuigerverenfabriek Rottink B.V. is certified with ISO 14001 which covers the pillar Planet (Environmental Management Systems requirements). Examples of our policy for sustainability are the usage of rain (recycled) water where possible (e.g. toilets), recycling of paper (i.e. which is re-used for packaging), wastes separation such as plastic and wood that is collected by certified companies, and continuous monitoring of energy consumption and striving for the lowest expenditure.
The pillar Profit is covered by the certificate ISO 9001 (Quality Management Systems requirements with ISO 9001). Zuigerverenfabriek Rottink B.V. sells her products and services worldwide. Sustainable customer relationships are the basis for long-term success, and our business success is highly dependent on the satisfaction of our customers. Therefore customer satisfaction is monitored and measured in every Strategic Business Unit of the company. We aim to continuously improve the quality of our products and manage high quality standards. To guarantee adequate problem solving, products and associated documentation are always available and traceable.
